Modern comfort in a nostalgic atmosphere
Our cabins and rooms combine Norwegian cabin interiors with modern comforts. We do our best to make sure your stay will be unique and memorable, without sacrificing comfort. The cabins are therefore equipped with high speed fiber internet, nice, warm bathrooms, TV, and other practical features at your disposal.
Activities and hiking trails
Dovregubbens Hall is centrally located in the best part of the Norwegian mountains, and is therefore the perfect starting point for your holiday. You will find several hiking trails in immediate proximity, as well as good waters and rivers for fishing, both near and far. The location of Dovregubbens Hall makes it an excellent nexus point from which you can make journeys to experience even more of what the mountains have to offer. The Musk Oxen
The mountains of Dovre are home to the largest herd of musk oxen in all of Europe. These unique and majestic, ancient animals can be observed all over the mountains, and are a central part of the region’s identity. Appropriately, the musk ox is found in the coat of arms of Dovre municipality. If you keep your eyes open for them while you are out on the trail, you may be lucky to witness an exotic sight you won’t soon forget. To increase your chances of seeing musk oxen, we recommend participating in a musk ox safari with one of our local guides.
Note that musk oxen are wild, and can be dangerous at close range. Anyone travelling in the area should therefore be familiar with the security guidelines for encounters with muskoxen. Dovregubbens Pizza
Experience pizza in a majestic setting at Dovregubbens Hall! From July 1st to July 31st, between 3:00 PM and 10:00 PM, you can enjoy our delicious pizza. Our individual-sized pizzas are made in the authentic Neapolitan style, with a thin, crispy crust that will surely satisfy your taste buds. All pizzas have a diameter of 30 cm and are perfectly portioned for one adult or two children.
